The perfect layout

By Thur on 11 Jun 2010 | Tagged: , | No Response.
Oooops! Every year it strikes me once or twice: this layout is so-o-o-o-o 'last year'. Which is bloody nonsense. Still I have at least a dozen newer ones on my 'localhost' ... for when I encounter some beautiful site leaving me flabbergasted ... you never know. So here's one. Have a look: Beauty in Everything - The easiest ...

nostalgia fills me …

Last night I updated my WordPress Theme: again I implemented the CSS3 Border-Radius. Nice, but I'm not very eager to activate this theme. I still do not like the fact that MIE doesn't see these new properties:...

Eindelijk mijn Wordpress Thema eens omgegooid: ...

Some previous exertions …

Here are, absolutely in a random order of rank and time, some screenshots of (some) previous versions ... leading more or less to this current TB20090409 WordPress Theme. (The header image was taken whilst nearing the Barcelona Montserrat monastery! Look at that mountain range! Err ... photo made by Boke, from the passenger seat.)...

Simple thus brilliant!

In my previous entry I proudly stated this site is coded not to show the Glider when there are no Javascript capabilities (by simply adding a display:none to a class, embedded in <noscript></noscript>). Nice! But still: even when not displayed all images are called, so there will be al lot of unnecessary ...

Quest for the Holy Grail

By Thur on 1 Mar 2009 | Tagged: | No Response.
Two months 'on the run' and thus far 4 people responded here. That's a good thing. Paula and Ryan came looking for some old Blogger Templates. That is, of course, pretty okay too. But, as I responded to Paula, All Things Must Pass. My Blogger Templates Domain was stolen, and (to be honest) to many people claimed (on ...

Sjoekie in ShadowBox JS

By Thur on 14 Feb 2009 | Tagged: | 4 Responses.
What's it gonna be when posting media? Instead of using LightBox 2 or SmoothGallery I tried the Shadowbox.js Media Viewer. And yes, there exists a Shadowbox JS WordPress Plugin. Some possibilities below. Very cool! The default navigation icons are a bit small but I'll let them be. You can use both left and right arrow keys ...

Dark Grey or Light Grey?

By Thur on 10 Feb 2009 | Tagged: | No Response.
As showed in my Flickr PhotoStream: there exists a light version of this tb20090204. I definitely like dark pages better (of course ... nothing really dark here: to make a 'Gothic' theme one needs , at least, some textures!).

This tb20090124 theme

By Thur on 4 Jan 2009 | Tagged: | 12 Responses.
This is my latest WordPress theme. Started out with the tb20090124 (a first draft) and ended thus far with this tb20090315 WP theme. Most recently I added the Smoothgallery Slideshow, being an 'Index To The 10 Most Recent Entries'. Superfluous but cool! The glitches are gone, I believe, and (please tell me if this isn't true) the whole thing seems to ...

Using Border-Radius

By Thur on 31 Jan 2008 | Tagged: | No Response.
Here is the previous twaddle. Added the CSS Border-Radius properties. As said: these nice looking rounded corners are not showing in MIE and Opera. I know sites are not supposed to look exactly the same in all browsers (impossible) but using this attribute makes to much of a difference.
