Een jaarlijks evenement, waar ik terugkerend naar uitkijk, is de VolkskrantDag, de laatste zondag van het Rotterdams Filmfestival.
‘t Is bijna weer zover en ik moest eraan denken bij het zien van onderstaande actie:

Behalve op die Filmfestival zondag ben ik vorig jaar nauwelijks naar de bios geweest, bedenk ik bedenkelijk.

Drie (letterlijk) prachtige voorbeelden van Grid Frameworks (fixed en fluid) zijn gebouwd en gepubliceerd door de Finse web designer Joni Korpi.
Alles als een ‘Open Source Initiative‘, dus vrij te gebruiken.

Responsive Webdesign

Wat u hier voor u ziet is een in elkaar gehackt Child Theme WP 20 11. Heeft echter (een fervent volger van de ‘fixed vs fluid’ discussies) mijn interesse voor Media Queries en Responsive of Adaptive Webdesign gewekt. Ik ga i.i.g., ter lering ende vermaak, een serieus framework in elkaar knutselen. Vermoedelijk zal dit thema dan weer snel verdwijnen.
Vandaar een aantal tijdelijke posts als vulling.

“Ze willen zelfs mijn hond niet aaien …” is gebaseerd op het WordPress Twenty Eleven thema.
De volgende wijzigingen zijn in het Child Theme ‘zwzmhna_20120101′ opgenomen:

Home page toont posts (aantal instelbaar) in 2 kolommen, gevolgd door 25 (of 5 of wat-dan-ook) klikbare thumbnails naar de volgende posts;
Single page met sidebar;
Archive pages tonen posts in 2 kolommen;
Geen header image op Home en Archive pages;
Een All Thumbnails Page toegevoegd;
Rounded Corner borders om de widgets (verschijnt, zuiver als ‘show off’, alleen bij max-width: 768px) – erg consequent is het allemaal vast nog niet;
In Handheld modus verandert het Categorie Menu in een verticale lijst.

This is a reprint from an entry written on Saturday, January 21, 2006.
At that moment I was working for my company in Zaandam.
I was pleased with my job … and very pleased with …

Yesterday evening, before hitting the asphalt back home, I visited the AH store beneath the parking-lot, where these two young people, armed with a video-camera and blossoming smiles, tried to capture passers-by.
Normally I would prefer having my head chopped off before … errr … .
She didn’t have any pigtails, but … well … you know, there was a welcoming sight – countenance and appearance!
She did have that kind of Lonneke Engel pinnule and posture. Not at all that perfect, so perchance even more graceful!

Reflecting on the subject I told them I really wasn’t the man they wanted. They acceded this truth quickly enough but we kept chatting for a while – both guy and girl very relaxed, noticeably enjoying their little project.
They probably have wiped this Ugly Faustus Face already, for all that!

A pleasant encounter.

Vandaag hard gewerkt aan de WordPress blog van Maarten. (Lijkt wel een tweet, he?)
Ik heb zitten knoeien aan een Child Theme voor twentyeleven. Heel aardig is de ingebouwde CSS code om ‘goed te smoelen’ op verschillende formaten. Jazeker, BLOODY iPhone … maar leuk om mee te klooien.

Zomaar wat kadootjes … de eerste is hartverwarmend … de tweede (film) moet ik maar weer eens gaan genieten … de derde: gisteren de eerste elpee van Angus en Julia Stone eindelijk aangeschaft (“A book like this”).
