Trained as an Art Historian at the University of Utrecht, I am, for the last twentyfive years, working in the IT Industry. The usual: from Cobol programmer to Oracle DBA to service/project manager.
I do miss the coding part. So in my spare time I am pottering the day away creating sites/WordPress themes for myself, seconding others, designing and building for he/she who asks, publishing Blogger Templates for the world (stopped doing that).
It is safe to say: I’d love to call myself a Web Worker, although not by profession.
You cannot follow me on Twitter, I have no FaceBook account, I am neglecting my LinkedIn pages, I have heard positive things about Google+ but have no idea why I should jump on.
I do not own any iBling, and I only listen to music on CD, SACD and Vinyl (but all the time!).

Having incorporated as little media queries, features, tricks, wild tinkering, odds and ends as possible, this is my design. There are many many more, looking at first sight all more or less the same, but this one – and I am pretty happy with it – is mine.
Naturally this latest installment is tested in all modern browsers.
CMS is WordPress; fonts are from Typekit and Google.

Ik ben makelaar in koffie, en woon op de Lauriergracht No. 37. Het is mijn gewoonte niet, romans te schrijven, of zulke dingen, en het heeft dan ook lang geduurd, voor ik er toe overging een paar riem papier extra te bestellen, en het werk aan te vangen, dat gij, lieve lezer, zoâven in de hand hebt genomen, en dat ge lezen moet als ge makelaar in koffie zijt, of als ge wat anders zijt. Niet alleen dat ik nooit iets schreef wat naar een roman geleek, maar ik houd er zelfs niet van, iets dergelijks te lezen, omdat ik een man van zaken ben.
