Godin: walking the 5th Avenue Uptown GT path …

I am really really happy.
Welcomed this brand new archtop guitar, the Godin 5th Avenue Uptown GT.
(‘GT’ for ‘Gloss Top’!)
Isn’t she beautiful, BEAUTIFUL?
Yes, what counts is the character, the feel, I know, but you cannot experience that through a blog post.

For a nice impression (not the sound, but the look and build) cast a glance at this clip: Rebecca Dirks (premierguitar.com on Location at the 2011 Montreal Guitar Show) chattering with Robert Godin. (The Uptown topic starts at about 2:40.)

While I was at that I picked up a new Valve Amp as well. I do own a small (Mexican) Fender Frontman, the 25R. The Godin wasn’t very pleased with that, she told me. So entered a Fender Blues Junior III.

Now – me being kind of rusty – let’s start playing again … .
